Proudly Serving Bushey, Watford, and the Local Community
A Nursery at the Heart of Your Bushey and Watford Community
Nurturing Every Child to Learn, Grow and Flourish
At Little Blossom Nursery School, a short journey to Bushey, we provide a warm, welcoming, and inspiring environment where children feel safe and valued. As a family-run nursery, we understand that choosing the right childcare setting is one of the most important decisions a parent can make. Our dedicated team works closely with families to ensure every child receives the care, attention, and encouragement they need to thrive.
We believe that every child is unique. Through a child-centred approach, we tailor learning experiences to each child’s interests, strengths, and stage of development, helping them build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. Our ethos is built around nurturing strong relationships, creating meaningful experiences, and supporting children as they take their first steps on their educational journey.
Working in Partnership with Families
We believe that parents and carers are a child’s first and most important educators. By working closely together, we create a strong partnership that supports each child’s learning and development both at nursery and at home.
Regular communication, progress updates, and opportunities for family involvement help ensure that every child receives consistent support throughout their early-years journey. We value the trust families place in us and strive to create a genuine sense of community in the Bushey area, where children, parents, and staff feel connected and supported.
Exploring Our Local Community
At Little Blossom Nursery School, learning extends far beyond the classroom. We believe children learn best through real-life experiences, which is why we regularly explore the wonderful local community of Bushey. These outings help children develop confidence, curiosity, social skills, and a greater understanding of the world around them.
Throughout the week, our children enjoy visits to local parks in the Bushey area, libraries, and community spaces, providing exciting opportunities for outdoor learning, discovery, and adventure.
Outdoor Adventures and Nature Exploration
We are fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful green spaces that inspire children to explore, investigate, and connect with nature in the local parks of Bushey.
These visits encourage physical development, teamwork, problem-solving, and an appreciation of the natural environment while giving children plenty of opportunities for active play and exploration.
Inspiring a Love of Reading
Developing a love of books and storytelling is an important part of early childhood education. We regularly visit Bushey Library, where children can enjoy story sessions, explore a wide range of books, and participate in community learning activities.
These experiences help nurture language development, imagination, and early literacy skills while encouraging children to develop a lifelong love of reading.
Strong Links with Local Schools
Preparing children for a smooth transition to primary school is a key part of our nursery experience. We have strong connections with many local schools in Bushey and Watford and help children develop the confidence, independence, and school-readiness skills they need for their next stage of learning.
Learning Beyond the Nursery
By exploring our local community, children gain valuable first-hand experiences that enrich their learning and help them understand the world around them. Whether discovering wildlife in local parks, enjoying stories at the library, or becoming familiar with their future schools, every outing is carefully planned to support children’s development and create meaningful learning opportunities.
At Little Blossom Nursery School, we are proud to be an active part of the Bushey community, helping every child grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence through memorable experiences both inside and outside the nursery.
